FreeIpods.com... AGAIN

As part of the deal I mentioned in a previous post, I signed up for a free trial with one of FreeIpods.com partners. I chose 2 free weeks of Blockbuster's wanna-be Netflix like service. Hey, free movie rentals via mail for 2 weeks. Can't complain about that.

Well, I'm here to inform everyone that FreeIpods.com gave me credit for participating in Blockbuster's 2-week trial and I was able to cancel the service before they started charging for it. On top of this, I have NOT seen an increase in my spam. So far, FreeIpods.com has lived up to their word. Now I just need to find more people to sign-up under me so I can see if they ever actually ship me an Ipod.

FreeIpods.com

Yeah, I know. FreeIpods.com sounds like a scam.

Child's Play

It's that time of year again. Yes, the holidays are just around the corner. If we ever feel the need to help those in need, this is the time. Child's Play is a charity drive started by the good folks at Penny Arcade and supported by the vast gaming community. This is the second year for the drive and they have expanded from one children's hospital to five across the US. I was deathly ill and stuck in a hospital for a long time before I was even five. I know what it's like. These kids need our help to have hope and pass the time. I can tell you it's no picnic. Please donate to this cause!

VisionTek Xtreme2 GO Drive

HardOCP recently did a -review- of the VisionTek Xtreme2 GO Drive. Besides being small in size, large in storage, fast (USB2), and cheap... this USB thumb-drive survived a run through the washer and dryer. When I say cheap, I mean CHEAP. You can get the 1GB model for $129.99 -here-. With -this- mail-in rebate, it comes down to $99.

MX 1000 $63.99 at Compusa

There is an instant rebate involved. You can catch the info -here-.

Old Images...

It's amazing what you find laying around on your hard drive. I've done a lot of stuff with Photoshop over the years, but most of it never goes anywhere. I found the following images that I did of a room-mate while in college...

The GOOD and the BAD

It's been a while since I posted to my blog. I've been busy at work. But, no more. Not for now at least. You see, I've been down-sized. No, it wasn't the evil outsourcing-overseas monster. The company just needed to restructure. Apparently, I wasn't in the new "plan". I wish them the best of luck.

If you are looking for a talented software engineer, I *cough* might know of one. Please check out my -resume-.

Enough of the bad news. I have GOOD news! As some already know, Norah and I are finally tieing the know. Most of you are probably mumbling "finally" as you read this. Please check out our new -website- detailing our wedding plans.

Come again?

I can only imagine the reaction I would get if I called Poison Control saying I ingested one of these compounds. "Hello, this is Poison Control." "Hi, I accidentally ingested Traumatic Acid!" "What type of acid was that again?" "Traumatic." "Indeed!"
